The previous ‘camps have taken place in Portland and San Francisco, and while these cities are not very, very distant from Vancouver, BC, my university’s haphazard semester exam schedule has always conflicted. I’ve known about this event for a few months now and am still impatiently waiting for tickets to go on sale this week!
Just in case there are new readers to this blog, Amber Case is one of my favorite persons. We first made contact when she was organizing the first Cyborg Camp (it was a tossup between Vancouver or San Francisco) and kept in touch since via the interwebs. I first met her at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, and again when I visited Portland a few months later. She is one of the happiest, most determined person that I have ever met who also loved reading the Wizard of Oz series, attending conferences in our college salad days, and plushie Capybaras.
One of my creative outlets is post-processing, mostly photography, whether or not it was from my camera at the time. Yesterday, I uploaded several photos of Amber from SXSW 2013 and shared them on Flickr and Twitter. Each of the following were photographed by the one and only Kris Krug, and are available for download and or use in publications, etc.
