The contents of this post are, just a few of, the inspirations for a stop-motion & animation video project, that was created during the previous summer during my semester at the Interactive Arts & Technology campus in Surrey, BC.
With several other students, specifically three very dear and charming girls with a predilection for window shopping and fruit smoothies from the on-campus coffeeshop Blenz, we completed a winsome fairy tale slash retro-ista video game reminiscent product.
The project was created for our IAT 202 New Media Images course, bent on instilling students and deign or artistic hopefuls with skills related developing narrative and video camera-person manoeuvrings, emphasizing on the process of compelling storytelling.
Since the first few weeks of the lectures, a cobwebby idea spun inside my mind of tying together The Little Prince and other related technology, querying our generation and cultural phenomenon’s obsessions with computer gadgetry. I’ll include another day the results of our little video project, in the meantime, I hope you’ll enjoy these paper-crafty inspirations that I discovered in relation to our cocoon-spun idea ‘video.
