As you may or not be aware, I am traveling by train to Portland, Oregon today.
I’ve been planning this trip for several weeks now in secret since the 2010 winter olympics in vancouver, before breaking down and confessing for advice from fellow twitter-ers. There’s much to be said for an un-seasoned, youthful twenty-something about to battle inexperience for a bounty of explorer’s wisdom.
If you’d like to follow my traveler queries about foods, people, places and things you may follow me at my twitter account where I’ll be updating via text messaging and wifi spaces.
If you’ve read my posts recently, you’d know that I’ve been tabulating lists and check marks to keep-a track of packing important sundry items and cameras, travel documents, arranging train schedules, and sending postcards.
I’ll be staying over at a cameraboy-friend’s apartment downtown, hopefully I can help out with kitchen cookery and cleaning. Overall, I’m quite excited about this adventure!
There are many places and people I’d like to visit, specifically Powell’s gigantic book shop, Amber Case the Cyborg Anthropologist, and shopping shopping shopping! There are also several cameras I’d like to purchase so I won’t be bringing very many with me on this trip.
After all, the best way to get over a broken heart is to leave the country! 😉
